Lunar New Year marks the start of the year in several Asian cultures, celebrated between late Jan-mid Feb at varying lunar calendar timings. Families gather to celebrate with traditions such as feasts, lion dances and fireworks, while welcoming good fortune and honoring their ancestors. Each year corresponds to an animal in the Chinese zodiac; 2025 is the year of the Snake.
